PHYSIOBD organized 2nd WCOMT-09

At April 17th & 18th of 2009, the 2nd World Congress On Manual Therapy-09 was organised by PHYSIOBD in Collaboration with Manual Therapy Foundation of India®. During this intensive 2-day educational experience, information and ideas on today's most important issues in Manual Therapy was exchanged between the stalwarts of Manual Therapy Profession. Each session was designed to inform and inspire while presenting a unique opportunity to learn from and question outstanding experts in the field of manual Therapy.

There were 5 internationally renouned key note speakers from various Universities and Organizations of the Wold. They were:

Jillian Web (University of Melbourne)
Jenny McConnell (McConnell Institute, Marina del Rey , California)
Philomena Commons (McKenzie Institute, UK)
Steven De Coninck (European Teaching Group of Orthopaedic Medicine, Belgium)
Umasankar Mohanty (Manual Therapy Foundation of India)

Hands on Workshop on Basics of Taping

PHYSIOBD^TM Health & Education Foundation organized a day long continnuing professional development course - "Hands on Workshop on Basics of Taping (Clinical and Sports) on 10^th July, 2009. This was a day long intensive program on clinical and sports taping where the participants got the basic knowledge of general and sports taping.

After the course a certificate of attendance was be provided by PHYSIOBD^TM.

PHYSIOBD Organized MDT® Course

22nd January is the another milestone for the history of PHYSIOBD. 35 Physiotherapists completed the world's most prestigious course "McKenzie Approach to Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy (MDT)"® Module-A. The course was conducted by the "McKenzie Institute International", New Zealand. The course Tutor was Philomena Commons, MCSP,MSc,MSOM,DipMDT. (McKenzie Institute, UK).

During the course, some deprived patients got treatment from the foreign faculty.

At the closing program Valarie A Taylor, OBE, FCSP (Founder of CRP) was present as chief guest. Dr. Dalilur Rahman, HOD, Dept. of PT, East West Medical Collage; Dr. Firoz Alam Vhuiyan, Asst. Prof. & HOD, SCHS Dept. of PT; Dr. S. Chakrabarti, Chairman SP Hospitals; Dr. Abul Kalam Elin, Senior Lecturer, GB; was present as special guest. ETV covered the program.
